A Canadian-born Superstar of Syrian descent, Sami Zayn brought unparalleled experience to WWE and crafted an eclectic blend of explosive aerial moves and hard-hitting strikes. He became a cornerstone of NXT during its formative years and carried that momentum to the main roster, capturing the NXT Championship, three Intercontinental Championships, the United States Championship, and the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Title alongside Kevin Owens, establishing himself as one of wrestling's most complete performers.
Zayn finally reached the pinnacle by defeating Cody Rhodes at Night of Champions 2026 to become the Undisputed WWE Champion, but his reign proved brief as he lost the title nine days later to CM Punk. Following a loss to Kevin Owens at SummerSlam 2026, he remains part of WWE's main event picture on SmackDown.
