A Canadian-born Superstar of Syrian descent, Sami Zayn brought extensive experience when arriving in WWE, incorporating an eclectic blend of explosive aerial moves and hard-hitting strikes that enabled him to defeat top competitors across multiple championship reigns. He held the NXT Championship, multiple Intercontinental and United States Championships, and the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship with Kevin Owens. At WrestleMania XL, Zayn ended Gunther’s 666-day Intercontinental Championship reign.
At Night of Champions 2026, Zayn pinned Cody Rhodes to become the Undisputed WWE Champion, shedding his underdog status and becoming the top guy. He currently works for WWE on the SmackDown brand as the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion.
