Tetsuya Naito
About Tetsuya Naito

One of puroresu’s most iconic anti-heroes, the man known as “El Ingobernable” spent over two decades in NJPW as the leader of Los Ingobernables de Japon, accumulating five IWGP Heavyweight Championship reigns and eight IWGP Intercontinental Championship reigns along the way. He won the G1 Climax in 2013, 2017, and 2023, and became the inaugural New Japan Triple Crown winner by simultaneously holding both the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental titles. His Destino finisher and tranquilo persona made him one of the most beloved figures in modern puroresu history.
May 4, 2025 marked the end of his NJPW run, as Wrestling Dontaku served as his final night on the roster — he and BUSHI departed alongside Hiromu Takahashi and Shingo Takagi, going out with a win. Naito resurfaced on January 2, 2026 at NOAH The New Year, revealed as the surprise tag partner for BUSHI, and the duo captured the GHC Tag Team Championships. Naito and BUSHI have since competed in the 2026 NOAH NEO Global Tag League, with the duo — now operating under the banner of Los Tranquilos de Japon — defending the GHC straps into mid-2026.
