Nyla Rose has revealed that she has spent the last four years trying to convince AEW president Tony Khan to let her get hit by a car on television, and so far he has not budged.
Speaking on Jasmine St. Clair’s Off the Rails podcast, Rose said she has been “begging” Khan to approve the stunt, framing it as a long-running pitch he has consistently turned down, according to Fightful and Ringside News.
The wrestler did not detail what storyline purpose the car incident would serve, and neither outlet reported Khan offering an explanation for rejecting the idea.
During the same conversation, Rose addressed her limited recent presence on AEW programming. When St. Clair pressed her on why she isn’t being used more often on television, and jokingly suggested confronting Khan over it, Rose was quick to clarify that she does not hold Khan responsible for her reduced screen time, according to Ringside News.
Rose, a former AEW Women’s World Champion, did not offer an alternative explanation for her decreased television presence in the excerpts reported from the podcast.
