Dennis Haskins, the actor best known for playing Principal Richard Belding on “Saved By The Bell,” has died at the age of 75. NewsChannel 9 in Chattanooga first reported the news after Haskins’ friend and caretaker confirmed his death, according to Ringside News. A cause of death has not been given.
Beyond his decades-long television career, Haskins was a well-known professional wrestling fan who was frequently spotted at WWE events. Wrestling News reported that he had appeared on WWE Raw broadcasts in the front row and had also been backstage at shows over the years.
Haskins also crossed over directly into wrestling content, making a cameo appearance on Zack Ryder’s “Z! True Long Island Story,” according to Fightful and Wrestling News. Fightful additionally noted that he attended independent wrestling shows, including events promoted by Pro Wrestling.
His passing was reported within hours across multiple wrestling outlets, including Fightful, Ringside News, Wrestling News, and eWrestlingNews, each confirming his age at death as 75 and noting that a cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
