Cassie Lee has set her sights on becoming a champion in her third major promotion. In an interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Lee said winning the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships is her top goal in wrestling.
Lee and her longtime tag team partner Jessie McKay signed with AEW/ROH earlier in 2026. The duo has already struck tag team gold together in both WWE and TNA, and Lee is now looking to complete the set in AEW.
According to Diva Dirt, McKay is currently out of action while pregnant, which has left Lee working without her regular partner inside AEW and ROH rings. Since arriving in the promotion, Lee has shared the ring with a number of AEW’s top women’s stars, including Jamie Hayter, Alex Windsor, Maya World, Mina Shirakawa and Harley Cameron.
Neither Fightful nor Diva Dirt indicated a specific timeline for when McKay might return to in-ring competition, or when Lee and McKay might pursue the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships as a team. For now, Lee’s comments make clear the title remains a defined ambition as she continues to build her presence in AEW on her own.
