Conan Lycan has signed a WWE ID contract, with AJ Styles personally informing him of the news during the October 7 episode of WWE EVOLVE. The announcement makes official what had been building behind the scenes, as Lycan had already begun appearing in front of WWE audiences in recent months.
According to Fightful, Lycan had previously worked a couple of WWE NXT dark matches ahead of his formal signing. Outside of WWE, he built his reputation on the independent scene, competing for promotions including ETU, Limitless and CSW, among others.
WWE’s ID program has become a regular pipeline for identifying and signing independent talent, and Lycan’s addition follows that pattern after his dark match appearances put him on the company’s radar. Both Ringside News and eWrestlingNews corroborated that Styles delivered the news directly to Lycan on WWE EVOLVE, with the moment marking the formal start of his relationship with WWE.
No further details on Lycan’s in-ring future with WWE EVOLVE or NXT have been disclosed beyond the signing itself.
