WWE is reportedly discussing plans for Drew McIntyre’s return to television, with internal talk pointing toward the Monday night Raw brand rather than SmackDown, according to WrestleVotes on Fightful Select.
Per Fightful, “Ideas are being discussed regarding Drew McIntyre’s comeback to take place as part” of the Raw roster. F4W Online, citing the same WrestleVotes report, noted that “there is a feeling within WWE that Raw could benefit from a star of McIntyre’s stature,” and that discussions are ongoing about moving him to the Monday show.
Ringside News reported that McIntyre’s comeback picture is “finally starting to take shape” after previous plans for his return were scrapped, and that a brand switch could be waiting for him once he returns to WWE television. The outlet noted McIntyre has spent months away from WWE programming while taking on outside Hollywood work.
No date has been confirmed for McIntyre’s on-screen return, and WWE has not made an official announcement regarding a brand assignment. The reports indicate discussions are in progress rather than finalized, meaning details could still change before any official confirmation from WWE.
