AEW Trios Title Match at Full Gear Upgraded to Texas Death Match

The AEW World Trios Championship match at Full Gear will now be contested under Texas Death match rules, following a violent escalation between Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland. According to Fightful, Bandido was the one who pushed for the stipulation, calling out Strickland’s recent disrespect during a backstage conversation with Page and Bandido’s tag team partner, which Fightful referred to as “Brodido.”

Bandido’s challenge came after another physical confrontation between Page and Strickland, the latest in a string of hostile encounters between the two in recent weeks. Fightful reported that Page had resisted calls for a more violent stipulation up to that point, but ultimately gave in and accepted the Texas Death match terms for the trios title bout.

Both POST Wrestling and Wrestling Inc confirmed the stipulation change, with POST Wrestling noting that the AEW World Trios Championships will officially be defended under Texas Death rules at Full Gear later in November 2026. Wrestling Inc’s report carried the headline “Hangman Page Gives In,” underscoring that the stipulation was a direct result of Page relenting to pressure after weeks of tension with Strickland and New Level.

A Texas Death match traditionally has no disqualifications or countouts, with a fall only being awarded when a competitor cannot answer a referee’s count. The stipulation significantly raises the stakes for a trios title match that had already been building around the personal animosity between Page and Strickland, who have clashed repeatedly in AEW in recent weeks according to the reporting from all three outlets.

With the match now official, Page and Bandido’s team will face Strickland and New Level for the AEW World Trios Championships at Full Gear under the harsher Texas Death rules. None of the reports detailed the full six-man lineup beyond Page, Bandido and Strickland, nor did they specify additional stipulation details beyond the Texas Death designation itself. The championship implications remain central to the bout, as the titles will change hands or be retained under a format built for the kind of unrestrained physicality that has defined the feud between the two sides.
