Cody Rhodes has said he would welcome his Street Fighter castmates, including Jason Momoa, into WWE, and he reiterated the sentiment during a string of recent media appearances that also touched on his film set experiences and ongoing backstage speculation about his championship run.

During an October 22 appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Rhodes was asked whether he had tried recruiting Jason Momoa to WWE. “It would be amazing. He’s got all the tools for it already,” Rhodes said, according to F4W Online. Rhodes also said he explained the idea to his castmates, framing a potential move to WWE as a natural fit given the physical and performative demands both pro wrestling and action filmmaking share.

Rhodes and Momoa were both part of the cast of the upcoming Street Fighter film, a production that has already generated its share of behind-the-scenes stories from Rhodes. Speaking on the Double Coverage Podcast, Rhodes continued sharing anecdotes from the set, including a previously reported story about rapper and actor 50 Cent putting an end to an unofficial gift-giving competition among the cast. According to Fightful, 50 Cent had earlier revealed on the Double Coverage Podcast that Rhodes once took the entire Street Fighter cast out on a yacht, and Rhodes used his own appearance to expand on that account, describing 50 Cent renting out an entire theme park for the cast as the gesture that effectively ended the informal competition of extravagant outings among castmates.

On the same podcast appearance, Rhodes also addressed criticism directed at WWE’s NIL recruitment system, according to Wrestling Headlines, discussing the camaraderie that developed among the cast and production crew during filming as part of that conversation.

Separately, Rhodes used the Double Coverage podcast to push back on an old WWE backstage report that has continued to resurface months after it first appeared. According to WrestleZone, the former Undisputed WWE Champion expressed frustration that the claim, involving an alleged suggestion from Rhodes about his own championship situation, keeps being presented as established fact despite his denials.

Taken together, the recent run of interviews shows Rhodes balancing his Hollywood commitments with WWE business, using his Street Fighter press cycle to tease potential crossover appeal for Momoa while also setting the record straight on wrestling-specific storylines that have followed him through 2026. No timeline or formal talks involving Momoa or other Street Fighter cast members joining WWE have been confirmed.
