Dorian Van Dux Cleared to Compete After Punctured Lung Scare

Dorian Van Dux has been cleared to return to in-ring competition after suffering a punctured lung that had sidelined him and forced him to miss Tuesday’s episode of NXT. The update was revealed publicly by Sean Legacy, who shared a video on Instagram capturing a phone call he received from Van Dux.

In the video, Van Dux told Legacy that he had just finished a round of cardio and had officially been cleared to compete. The news marks a swift turnaround, coming just days after WWE had announced that Van Dux was being pulled from in-ring action due to the injury.

Van Dux’s absence had raised questions about his status for one of NXT’s marquee tournaments, given the timing of the injury. With the medical clearance now confirmed through Legacy’s social media post, those concerns appear to have been resolved, though WWE has not yet detailed when Van Dux will make his in-ring return or what his next assignment will be.

The reports do not specify how or when Van Dux initially suffered the punctured lung, and WWE has not issued its own separate statement beyond the original announcement that pulled him from action.
