Dragon Lee and Dralistico could both be approaching major career decisions, with a new report stating that the brothers are nearing the end of their respective contracts with WWE and AEW.
According to F4WOnline, Dragon Lee’s WWE deal and Dralistico’s AEW contract are both approaching expiration. The development becomes even more intriguing after the brothers filed to trademark the name “Hermanos Lee”, potentially giving them a shared identity should they decide to work together in the future.
Dragon Lee and Dralistico contracts nearing their end
Dragon Lee has been under contract with WWE since late 2022, arriving after establishing himself internationally through promotions including CMLL, Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He quickly became a prominent part of NXT before moving onto WWE’s main roster.
Dralistico, meanwhile, joined AEW after appearing for the company in 2022 and later became part of La Facción Ingobernable. His AEW run has also included appearances alongside Rush, another member of the Muñoz wrestling family.
The report does not mean either wrestler is definitely leaving his current promotion. Contract negotiations can continue right up to an expiration date, and neither WWE nor AEW has publicly announced a departure. However, having brothers contracted to rival major promotions while both deals approach their end creates an obvious point of interest.
What is the Hermanos Lee trademark?
The timing of the “Hermanos Lee” filing is likely to attract particular attention. The name translates to “Lee Brothers” and would provide Dragon Lee and Dralistico with branding they could potentially use together.
A trademark filing alone does not confirm plans to form a tag team or sign with another company. Wrestlers routinely protect names and intellectual property before any specific move has been finalised. Still, combined with the reported contract situations, it gives both men an option that would not depend on WWE or AEW branding.
The brothers have extensive history together outside the two US promotions and are part of one of modern lucha libre’s best-known wrestling families. Rush is currently with AEW, while their father, Bestia del Ring, has also wrestled extensively in Mexico.
Could Dragon Lee or Dralistico switch promotions?
That is the major unanswered question. If Dragon Lee becomes a free agent, AEW would provide an obvious route to reunite him with Dralistico and Rush — assuming Dralistico remains with the company. Conversely, WWE could potentially pursue Dralistico if it wants to keep Dragon Lee and build around the brothers together.
There is also the Mexican wrestling landscape to consider. Both performers have strong lucha libre credentials, and the increasingly interconnected relationship between major American and Mexican promotions creates more possibilities than a straightforward WWE-versus-AEW decision.
