AEW CEO Tony Khan announced that Kofi, one-third of the AEW World Trios Champions, will make his singles debut for All Elite Wrestling against ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty on the October 3 edition of AEW Collision.
Khan made the announcement on social media, confirming the match for the Collision broadcast airing at 8/7c on TNT and HBO Max. According to TPWW, the show is set to take place at Truist Arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky.
Kofi has competed as part of the AEW World Trios Champions, but this match marks his first appearance in a singles capacity on AEW programming. He will face Lee Moriarty, who currently holds the ROH Pure Championship, in what stands as a notable test for both men given the stakes attached to a champion stepping into a non-title singles bout.
No further details on the match stipulations or broadcast build have been released beyond Khan’s announcement.
