Tony Khan Pushes Back on Fan Criticism of Ring of Honor

After a fan labeled the current ROH product a "disaster" using an old episode as evidence, Tony Khan fired back on social media, calling the criticism "hand picked."

Tony Khan has responded to a fan who criticized the current state of Ring of Honor, disputing the claim and pushing back against the evidence used to support it.

According to Ringside News, the exchange began when a fan took to Twitter and shared a Cagematch rating for an older episode of ROH television, using it to argue that the promotion had become a “disaster.” Khan jumped into the conversation to explain why he felt the criticism missed the mark.

Fightful reported that Khan accused the criticism of being “hand picked,” suggesting the fan had selectively chosen an example that did not reflect the product as a whole.

Khan purchased Ring of Honor and announced the deal on a March 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite. More than four years later, the promotion continues to run under his ownership, and it remains an active part of the AEW-ROH relationship that Khan has frequently defended in public exchanges with fans and critics.
