CARDANALYSIS & PREDICTIONS
AEW rolls into Norfolk tonight with momentum building toward All Out in ten days, and the card reflects a promotion firing on multiple cylinders. Jericho’s still doing his thing, the Death Riders continue their dominance, and there’s enough star power on this card to suggest Tony Khan is treating this as a significant stepping stone before the Chicago PPV. The ticket sales are softer than usual, but that’s not going to matter once these matches kick off.
Chris Jericho vs. Nick Wayne
Jericho’s been a constant presence in AEW’s main event picture, and Wayne represents the younger generation that needs credible wins to matter. This is a showcase for Nick to hang or a reminder that some veterans still have plenty left in the tank.
WAW Pick: Jericho retains his spot in the hierarchy, likely via psychology and experience.
Will Ospreay, Andrade El Idolo & Francesco Akira vs. Death Riders
Eight-man tag chaos with international strike-based wrestling colliding against MJF’s crew. Ospreay and Andrade together is always worth the price of admission, and the Death Riders have been booked strong enough to not need the win here, but that makes this genuinely unpredictable.
WAW Pick: Death Riders pull it off to continue their angle momentum.
Jamie Hayter vs. Lena Kross
Women’s division continues to quietly churn out solid matchups. This feels like a test for Kross or a barrier Hayter needs to clear—either way, expect stiff striking and mat work.
WAW Pick: Hayter advances.
Someone debuts or shows up unannounced. The chatter around Dani Luna and other free agents has been loud enough that AEW might use tonight to pop the Norfolk crowd before All Out kicks into overdrive.
