Bully Ray has weighed in on one of wrestling’s longest-running fan debates, questioning whether Cody Rhodes will ever actually turn heel in WWE. According to Wrestling Inc, Bully Ray said that even though he personally would like to see the turn happen, he does not believe WWE will make that move now or at any point in the foreseeable future.
Rhodes has been positioned as one of WWE’s top babyfaces since his high-profile return to the company, and speculation about a potential heel turn has followed him throughout that run. Bully Ray’s comments, as relayed by Wrestling Inc, suggest that despite the appetite from some corners of the fan base, creative circumstances may never align to make a change in Rhodes’ on-screen alignment a reality.
The report does not indicate that WWE has any plans, announced or otherwise, to alter Rhodes’ current babyface persona. No timeline, storyline detail, or official WWE statement on the matter was included in the sourced report.
