Chris Jericho says winning matches is no longer the priority for him at this stage of his AEW career, telling TMZ’s Inside the Ring that he “doesn’t have to win ever again” in the promotion.
According to F4W Online’s account of the appearance, Jericho discussed his role in helping establish other wrestlers in AEW, specifically citing his year-long program with MJF as well as his matches against Will Ospreay and Bandido as examples of that approach.
NoDQ, also drawing on the same TMZ Inside the Ring podcast appearance, reported that Jericho commented on not being in the WWE Hall of Fame during the conversation, though the outlet did not detail what he said on the subject.
Jericho’s remarks frame his current AEW run less around personal win-loss record and more around using his spot to build momentum for younger or rising names on the roster, a role he has publicly embraced in programs like the one with MJF.
Separately, TJR Wrestling reported that Jericho had a lighthearted interaction with a former WWE superstar who once appeared on his trademark “List,” ten years after the original bit, though specific details of that exchange were not included in the available summary.
