Ilja Dragunov is officially All Elite. The former WWE United States Champion signed with AEW and made his debut appearance during WrestleDream 2026, held at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.

During a break in the action on the October 17 pay-per-view broadcast, Renee Paquette came out to introduce the crowd to AEW’s newest signing. Shortly after, Dragunov himself appeared, confirming his arrival in the company. According to F4W Online, his debut came in the final stages of the show, following the AEW World Trios Championship match.

The signing had been teased for days leading into WrestleDream. Earlier in the week, AEW aired a vignette during its three-hour Dynamite/Collision broadcast promoting the arrival of a mystery new talent. That teased arrival was revealed at WrestleDream to be Dragunov, bringing a storyline buildup to its conclusion in front of the Orlando crowd.

Dragunov’s move to AEW follows reporting from August 2026 that confirmed the former WWE United States Champion’s status heading toward a new chapter in his career, according to WrestleTalk. His in-ring style and intensity, which made him a standout performer during his WWE run, now give AEW a notable new addition to its roster as the promotion heads toward the remainder of its 2026 schedule.

No match has been announced for Dragunov inside AEW, and the promotion has not detailed what in-ring program he will be worked into first. His debut at WrestleDream was limited to the on-stage appearance and introduction by Paquette, with multiple outlets confirming the signing but not providing further details on an opponent, storyline direction, or title implications at this stage.

The timing of the announcement, coming at the tail end of a major pay-per-view broadcast, mirrors AEW’s pattern of using marquee events to unveil new signings to a live audience. WrestleDream 2026 now stands as the formal launching point for Dragunov’s AEW tenure, with his first match and feud expected to be addressed on upcoming Dynamite or Collision broadcasts.
