WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green puts her title on the line against Roxanne Perez on the October 23, 2026 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, broadcasting live from the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California. The match headlines a card that WWE has built specifically to set the stage for the upcoming Crown Jewel Premium Live Event, according to previews published by F4W Online and Ringside News.
The title defense carries added significance because Green already has another challenger waiting for her once Crown Jewel arrives. Per Ringside News, Liv Morgan is set to face Green for the WWE Women’s Championship at that Premium Live Event, meaning Friday’s bout against Roxanne Perez functions as a tune-up of sorts for the champion before she walks into a previously arranged showdown with Morgan. A loss to Perez on SmackDown would upend those plans entirely, while a successful defense would let Green head into Crown Jewel with momentum intact.
Elsewhere on the card, Giulia collides with Blake Monroe in a Street Fight, a stipulation that typically signals an escalating, more personal rivalry between the two competitors and allows for a less restricted style of competition than a standard singles match. The hardcore element of the bout stands in contrast to the title picture atop the show, giving fans a variety of styles across the night’s offerings.
The tag team division also factors heavily into the broadcast, as Michin and B-Fab are scheduled to challenge Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. The champions, Bliss and Paxley, will be looking to fend off a determined pairing in Michin and B-Fab, who have been positioned as credible contenders heading into the match.
Both F4W Online and Ringside News confirmed the same core matches for the October 23 show, with Ringside News explicitly tying the card’s construction to the promotion’s buildup for Crown Jewel. Neither outlet detailed further segments beyond the confirmed matches listed, and no additional stipulations or participants were specified in the available previews.
With Chelsea Green defending against Roxanne Perez and a Crown Jewel date with Liv Morgan already on the books, SmackDown’s women’s division sits at the center of the night’s storytelling, running alongside the Street Fight pitting Giulia against Blake Monroe and the tag title defense from Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley against Michin and B-Fab.
