Gurv Sihra, one half of The Bollywood Boyz and formerly known as Sunil Singh in WWE, says he is “lucky to be alive” after suffering a collapsed lung during an independent wrestling match over the weekend.
Sihra and his brother Harv Sihra, who wrestled as Samir Singh in WWE, defeated Shaun Martens and Sydney Steele on Saturday, September 19, in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, to capture the Pure Power Wrestling Tag Team Championships. During the match, Gurv Sihra suffered the injury that would send him to the emergency room.
Sihra shared the news on social media, stating that an ER doctor told him he was very lucky to be alive following the collapsed lung.
No further details on Sihra’s recovery timeline or in-ring status have been disclosed. The Bollywood Boyz previously competed in WWE, where Gurv and Harv Sihra were known as Sunil Singh and Samir Singh, respectively.
