New Japan Pro-Wrestling has added an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship match to its September 23 Road to Destruction event, with champions El Desperado and Mistico set to defend against HOUSE OF TORTURE’s DOUKI and SHO.
The bout was confirmed as part of the announced lineup for the show, according to Fightful and 411Mania.
El Desperado and Mistico currently hold the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles, and the Road to Destruction card also features an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship match involving YOH, per the reported lineup.
DOUKI and SHO represent HOUSE OF TORTURE, the stable aligned with Bullet Club, and their challenge sets up a title defense for El Desperado and Mistico as New Japan builds toward its Destruction tour.
