The first trailer for the upcoming film “Stranglehold” has arrived, featuring AEW star MJF alongside former WCW World Champion David Arquette and Kayla Becker.
According to F4W Online, “Stranglehold” is a crime comedy directed by Clark Duke, with MJF part of the supporting cast in a film that stars Ashley Benson, Ron Perlman, Justin Long, and Jake Lacy. Rajah reported that MJF was first announced as part of the “Stranglehold” cast back in 2024, meaning the newly released trailer marks fans’ first real look at his role in the project.
MJF has continued to expand his acting résumé alongside his in-ring career in All Elite Wrestling, where he is a multi-time World Champion. Wrestling Headlines and Rajah both noted that he previously appeared in “Happy Gilmore 2” and has a role lined up in the upcoming “Violent Night” sequel.
The presence of Arquette, who held the WCW World Championship in 2000, alongside MJF and Becker gives “Stranglehold” an added wrestling connection heading into its release. No release date for the film was included in the available reporting.
