WWE has officially confirmed that Worlds Collide will air on the company’s YouTube channel on Wednesday, September 30, ending days of uncertainty over how the WWE x AAA crossover event would be broadcast.
The announcement was made during Friday Night SmackDown, according to Fightful and POST Wrestling. Worlds Collide takes place on September 26 in Rosemont, Illinois, but per Wrestling Inc, the event will not air live and will instead be released on a several-day delay via YouTube.
The card is set to feature talent from WWE NXT and AAA, along with a match involving CM Punk, according to multiple outlets including Wrestling Headlines and Fightful. Wrestling Headlines noted there had previously been uncertainty surrounding how the event would be distributed before WWE’s announcement clarified the plan.
TPWW reported that WWE Hall of Famer and commentator JBL had discussed the broadcast plans on a recent episode of his podcast prior to the official confirmation. With the September 30 YouTube date now set, fans will know within days of the Rosemont taping how the NXT and AAA talent, including the advertised CM Punk match, fared on the show.
