Stevie Richards is questioning WWE’s decision to move its Main Event program to the Rumble streaming platform, arguing the company is prioritizing short-term engagement over its own history.
Speaking on “The Stevie Richards Show,” Richards said the move makes little sense to him. Looking at the bigger picture, he questioned why WWE would split its content across another platform and argued the company has developed a habit of abandoning its own legacy in favor of what he described as “immediate dopamine,” according to Ringside News.
The relocation of Main Event to Rumble has continued to generate discussion among fans and media since it was announced, with Richards’ comments adding a prominent voice of skepticism to the conversation.
In the same discussion, the topic of Vince Russo also came up, with eWrestlingNews reporting that Russo had quit JCW over heart palpitations, a separate development referenced alongside the Main Event criticism during the show.
