WWE has reportedly settled on its plan for the main event of Money in the Bank 2026, with Roman Reigns defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight set to close the show on October 10th in New Orleans, Louisiana.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, the current plan calls for Reigns and Knight to end the premium live event, with multiple outlets including Ringside News, Wrestling Headlines, eWrestlingNews, 411Mania and PWMania all citing the same report. Fightful quoted WrestleVotes directly, stating, “As of right now, the planned main event for WWE Money in the Bank is Roman Reigns defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against L.A. Knight.”
Several reports noted that WWE had briefly discussed closing the show with one of the night’s ladder matches instead, but that direction does not appear to be where the company is heading as of the reports published on October 8th. The Money in the Bank ladder matches remain part of the card, though the reports indicate the title bout between Reigns and Knight is currently planned to be the final match of the night.
As with any pre-event report of this nature, WWE’s plans can change before the show airs, and none of the outlets characterized the main event as officially confirmed by the company itself. The current reporting reflects the plan as of this week heading into Saturday’s event.
