Laynie Luck has addressed the news that her WWE ID deal is not being renewed, saying she believes she got everything she could out of the developmental-style program.
Fightful Select first reported that Luck would be entering free agency after her WWE ID contract was not renewed. The announcement came after Luck dropped the WWE ID Women’s Championship, a title she had held for more than 300 days.
Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Luck reflected on her run with the program, stating, “I feel like I got everything I possibly could have out of that program.” Her comments suggest she views her extended title reign and time in WWE ID as a complete and valuable chapter rather than an abrupt or unwanted exit.
WWE ID is the promotion’s independent wrestler development initiative, designed to give outside talent exposure and a working relationship with WWE without a traditional full-time contract. Luck’s lengthy reign as Women’s Champion made her one of the program’s most visible representatives during her time under the deal.
With her WWE ID contract now expired and not renewed, Luck is free to sign with other promotions or pursue independent bookings without restriction from WWE. No details have been made public regarding her next move, and no source material indicates she has signed, or is in talks to sign, with any other company at this time.
The timing of her exit follows directly from her dropping the WWE ID Women’s Championship, a sequence that Fightful’s reporting frames as the natural conclusion of her tenure in the program rather than a surprise departure. Luck’s own remarks reinforce that framing, positioning her WWE ID run as something she is walking away from with satisfaction rather than frustration.
For now, Luck’s status leaves her among the more notable free agents connected to WWE’s developmental pipeline, with her championship pedigree from WWE ID likely to factor into how other promotions and independent scenes view her going forward.
