UFC’s Andre Fili Says He’s Considering Pro Wrestling After MMA Career Ends

The featherweight, fresh off a knockout win at UFC Fight Night, says he wants to add size with a "healthy amount" of steroids before any potential move to the ring.

UFC featherweight Andre Fili says a career in professional wrestling is on his radar once his mixed martial arts run comes to an end. Fili made the comments on The Ariel Helwani Show following his second-round knockout win over Kai Kamaka III at UFC Fight Night on October 10, a result that moved his professional MMA record to 26-14.

Speaking with Helwani after the victory, Fili said that once he is finished competing in MMA, he would consider pursuing pro wrestling. He added that part of his preparation for that transition would involve getting on what he described as a “healthy amount” of steroids in order to add size to his frame, a notable detail given that professional wrestling at the highest level often demands a different physique than cage fighting.

Fili’s comments come at a moment when the line between combat sports and professional wrestling has grown increasingly thin, with WWE and other promotions regularly scouting talent from backgrounds in MMA, judo, boxing and amateur wrestling. A fighter with Fili’s UFC pedigree and name recognition would be a notable crossover addition if he were to formally pursue a wrestling career, though no timeline, promotion or concrete plans were discussed in his remarks.

It remains unclear when Fili intends to step away from MMA competition, and he did not name any specific promotion he would target for a wrestling run. His remarks should be treated as an expressed interest rather than a confirmed career move, since no contract talks, tryouts or formal pro wrestling training were mentioned in connection with his comments.

For now, Fili’s focus remains inside the UFC cage, where his win over Kamaka extended his veteran featherweight resume. Whether his stated interest in pro wrestling develops into an actual post-fighting career will depend on decisions still to come once his MMA tenure concludes.
