WWE has confirmed that the 2027 Royal Rumble will take place on Saturday, February 6, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The announcement, issued by WWE on Monday, November 2, 2026, in partnership with the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance and Legends Global, marks the 40th annual running of the event.

According to the official release, Royal Rumble weekend in Glendale will extend beyond the premium live event itself. On Friday, February 5, Desert Diamond Arena will host a doubleheader featuring Friday Night SmackDown and AAA’s Road to Rey de Reyes, giving fans in the Phoenix area two major shows in the two days leading into the Rumble.

The confirmation puts to rest speculation that WWE might expand the Royal Rumble into a two-night event, following the format changes seen in recent years at WrestleMania and SummerSlam. Instead, the company is keeping the show to its traditional single-night structure for 2027, at least based on what has been announced so far.

SEScoops also noted that the chosen date places Royal Rumble 2027 one night before AEW’s Dynasty event, setting up a notable competitive placement on the wrestling calendar for that weekend. WWE has not detailed any further scheduling implications tied to that overlap.

Tickets for the Royal Rumble are scheduled to go on sale starting November 18, according to the reporting. As is customary for the event, the 2027 Royal Rumble is expected to serve as a major stepping stone toward WrestleMania, with the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches traditionally setting up championship opportunities for the following WrestleMania card. WWE has not yet released match announcements, participant details, or further specifics for the February 6 show.

Glendale and State Farm Stadium have hosted major WWE events previously, and the venue’s selection continues a pattern of WWE partnering with large NFL-caliber stadiums for its flagship winter premium live event. The involvement of AAA’s Road to Rey de Reyes on the Friday card also reflects WWE’s ongoing relationship with the Mexican promotion, though no additional details about that show’s card have been confirmed.

Further announcements regarding the Royal Rumble entrants, matches, and the SmackDown and AAA cards for February 5 are expected as the event date approaches.
