Josh Bishop is the new MLW World Heavyweight Champion. Bishop defeated Killer Kross in a Last Man Standing match at MLW Saturday Night SuperFight, held November 7, 2026, at Cicero Stadium in Chicago, Illinois, according to Fightful, 411Mania and MLW’s own event recap.
The title change capped a brutal main event in which both men pushed the Last Man Standing stipulation to its limits before Bishop found the decisive blow. According to Fightful, the finish saw Bishop deliver his signature Exit 187 maneuver on Kross through a table. With Kross down, he attempted to use a steel chair to pull himself back to his feet, but Bishop kicked the chair away, preventing Kross from beating the referee’s ten count and sealing the championship victory.
MLW’s own announcement framed the win as the culmination of a long rise for Bishop, describing it as “the crowning moment” of his career and calling his path to the title “the most dangerous climb in the sport.” The promotion did not detail the specific storyline buildup that led to the title shot, but the language underscores that Bishop’s championship win was treated as a milestone moment for the promotion rather than a routine title defense.
The victory ends Kross’s reign atop MLW’s flagship title, though the sources provided do not specify how long Kross had held the MLW World Heavyweight Championship before losing it at SuperFight. The Last Man Standing stipulation meant the only way to win was to keep an opponent down for a ten count, a format that typically allows for weapons, environmental spots and extended physical storytelling, consistent with Fightful’s description of the table spot that led to the finish.
Saturday Night SuperFight also featured an MLW in-ring debut, according to 411Mania’s event coverage, though further details of that appearance were not included in the available reporting.
Bishop now enters a new chapter as champion, with MLW positioning the win as a signature achievement for him. The promotion is offering a replay of Saturday Night SuperFight through VEEPS for fans who want to watch the full Last Man Standing match and the rest of the card.
