AEW has begun rolling out the lineup for this Saturday’s Fright Night edition of Collision, taking place in St. Louis, with four matches confirmed so far, according to Fightful, F4W Online and POST Wrestling.
The headline attraction sees Ilja Dragunov step into the ring against The Beast Mortos in a first-time singles encounter. Dragunov is set to compete in just his second match since arriving in AEW, having been victorious in his promotional debut, per F4W Online. His matchup with The Beast Mortos gives fans another look at how he is being positioned early in his AEW run.
Also confirmed is a six-man trios showdown pitting The Conglomeration against The Cut. Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly and Orange Cassidy will represent The Conglomeration, while Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn will compete as The Cut. POST Wrestling described the bout as faction warfare, reflecting the ongoing rivalry between the two groups heading into the show.
In singles competition, Tommaso Ciampa is scheduled to face Matt Sydal. The pairing gives Ciampa a notable opponent in Sydal, a veteran with a long rΓ©sumΓ© across multiple promotions, as AEW continues to build out its Fright Night card with a mix of faction-based and individual matchups.
POST Wrestling noted that a STARDOM title matchup has also been added to the card, though full match details for that bout were not included in the reporting reviewed for this story. Additional matches are expected to be announced for Fright Night Collision as the week progresses, with POST Wrestling indicating that further card details may emerge from spoilers ahead of the show airing.
With Dragunov still in the early stages of his AEW tenure, his matchup against The Beast Mortos will be watched closely as an indicator of how the promotion plans to build him going forward. Meanwhile, The Conglomeration versus The Cut trios match adds another chapter to a faction rivalry that has been playing out on AEW programming, with the six-man setting up potential follow-up matches or stipulations depending on the outcome in St. Louis.
