Kairi Sane and All Elite Wrestling have still not finalized a contract, according to multiple reports, as the promotion prepares for its WrestleDream 2026 pay-per-view. The situation remains fluid weeks after talks between the two sides were first reported.
Fightful Select first reported in September that Sane and AEW had held discussions about a potential signing. Weeks later, an update indicated that Sane had not been planned for AEW All Out, though conversations between her and the company were described as ongoing at that time.
Wrestling Headlines reported this week that there is still no confirmed agreement between Sane and AEW heading into WrestleDream, noting that as of this week the two sides had reportedly not finalized a deal. The outlet stated that it remains unclear whether an agreement will be completed before the event, and that Sane’s potential involvement in WrestleDream continues to be a subject of speculation rather than confirmed fact.
The timeline laid out across the two reports shows a negotiation that has stretched over multiple weeks without resolution. What began as reported talks in September had, by the time of All Out, not yet produced a deal or a spot on that card for Sane. The latest update from this week indicates that the situation has not meaningfully changed in the time since, with no finalized contract in place as AEW’s WrestleDream broadcast approaches.
Neither Sane nor AEW has publicly confirmed a signing, and the supplied reporting does not specify what terms, if any, are under discussion or what role Sane might play on the WrestleDream card if an agreement is reached. The reports also do not indicate whether a deadline exists for completing the deal or whether talks could extend beyond the event itself.
For now, the only confirmed detail is the state of limbo itself: discussions between Kairi Sane and AEW have been ongoing since September without a finalized contract, and that uncertainty persists as WrestleDream 2026 draws near. Any further movement, whether a signing, an appearance, or a continued delay, will depend on how those negotiations progress in the days ahead.
