Rush has denied being “injury prone” after a fan suggested his periods of absence from AEW television were tied to repeated injuries. The exchange played out on social media, with Rush offering a detailed response explaining why he believes that characterization of his health is inaccurate.
According to Fightful, Rush noted that any claim of him being injury prone as a fact is false, pointing out that since signing with AEW in 2022, he has had various stretches away from AEW television, but only one of those absences was actually due to injury.
The back-and-forth comes as Rush has been telling fans he is getting close to a return to AEW television, per Ringside News. NoDQ reported that Rush’s comments arrived ahead of the 2026 AEW All In: London pay-per-view event, as he addressed his ongoing absence from the promotion.
Rush, also known as El Toro Blanco, was not willing to let the injury-prone narrative stand unchallenged, and his response has drawn renewed attention to when he might next appear for AEW.
