Former WWE couple Dakota Kai and Karl Fredericks are now engaged to be married. Kai revealed the news on her "Zelvx and Charlie Girl" podcast where she shared that Fredericks proposed to her in Sanford on the two-year anniversary of when they first started dating. Both Kai and Fredericks (who wrestled as Eddy Thorpe in NXT) were released from WWE back in May of 2025 as part of their budgetary cuts. TNA announced that their Lockdown PPV scheduled for August 23 will now have an earlier start time (6pm ET/5pm CT) as per this schedule:
