TNT Sports CEO Luis Silberwasser is set to depart the merged Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery company when the merger officially closes on Tuesday, October 6, according to a CNBC report relayed by Fightful.
The news was reportedly communicated to employees in a private email sent on Monday, October 5. Silberwasser had taken on the TNT Sports CEO role in June.
TNT Sports is the home of AEW programming in the United States, making any leadership change at the network a point of interest for the wrestling industry. The report does not specify a reason for Silberwasser’s exit, nor does it name a successor or outline what the leadership change may mean for TNT’s existing programming agreements.
