Santino Marella has offered a public endorsement of NXT’s Birthright faction, the multi-generational stable that includes his own daughter, Arianna Grace. Speaking about the group’s progress since its formation, Marella said the stable is “doing really well,” according to Fightful.
Birthright began coming together on WWE NXT in March 2026 and currently consists of five members: Uriah Connors, Charlie Dempsey, Arianna Grace, Stacks and Lexis King. Each member carries a connection to a previous generation of wrestling talent, a lineage angle that has defined the faction’s identity on NXT television.
In a separate interview with We R Wrestling, Marella went further, addressing the scrutiny that comes with being associated with established wrestling names. He said the group has to “outwork everybody” in order to silence critics who suggest they are benefiting from nepotism rather than their own merit, according to F4W Online. Marella specifically referenced Lexis King, Uriah Connors, Charlie Dempsey and Arianna Grace in discussing how the performers are handling expectations tied to their family backgrounds.
Marella’s comments carry particular weight given his own standing in WWE history as a former Intercontinental Champion and longtime on-screen personality. His willingness to speak candidly about the pressures facing second-generation talent, rather than simply offering blanket praise, suggests an awareness of the skepticism that often greets performers who share a surname or legacy with past stars.
Since its formation on NXT, Birthright has operated as a cohesive unit built around the theme of inherited wrestling pedigree. Arianna Grace’s involvement in the faction places Marella in the position of commentating on his daughter’s development inside the same company where he built his own career, adding a personal dimension to his assessment of the group’s performance.
Neither Fightful nor F4W Online reported any additional detail from Marella regarding specific matches, storyline direction or future plans for Birthright beyond his comments on the group’s work ethic and reception. As the faction continues to appear on NXT programming, the question of whether its members can distinguish themselves on their own merits remains central to how the group is perceived by fans and critics alike.
