Kyle Fletcher will challenge Will Ospreay for the AEW World Championship at AEW Full Gear 2026, with AEW officially confirming the match following the October 28 episode of AEW Fright Night Dynamite.
Fletcher earned the moment by defeating Jack Perry on the show. After the win, he was joined in the ring by fellow Don Callis Family members Don Callis, Jake Doyle and Mark Davis. Fletcher first proclaimed that Doyle and Davis will capture the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Full Gear before turning his attention to Ospreay, issuing his challenge for the promotion’s top prize.
Fletcher’s case for a title shot is built on recent history with the champion. He pointed to the fact that he and Kevin Knight had defeated Ospreay and Adam Copeland in a tag team bout the previous week, using that result to argue that he is the uncrowned champion and deserves the opportunity to prove it one-on-one. Shortly after Fletcher’s in-ring challenge, AEW made the match official for the Full Gear pay-per-view.
AEW Full Gear 2026 is scheduled for November 14 in Phoenix, Arizona, and the Ospreay-Fletcher bout has been set as the main event of the show. The match renews a rivalry between the two, as Fletcher has previously gone after Ospreay’s championship reign, and this will mark another high-profile attempt to dethrone the champion on pay-per-view.
The build also reinforces the Don Callis Family’s push toward multiple championships heading into Full Gear. With Doyle and Davis publicly declared as targeting the AEW World Tag Team Championships and Fletcher now locked into the world title main event, the faction has positioned itself for a significant night at the Phoenix pay-per-view. Ospreay, who has held the AEW World Championship through this stretch of matches against Callis Family members and their allies, will be tasked with defending the title against a challenger who has already notched a tag team win over him alongside Knight.
No further details on the match stipulation or additional undercard matches for Full Gear 2026 were confirmed in conjunction with this announcement.
