Independent wrestling veteran The Necro Butcher (Dylan Keith Summers) has signed a WWE Legends deal, also known as a WWE Nostalgia Agreement, despite never having worked for the promotion. Summers announced the news himself on Facebook, posting a lengthy message along with a photo confirming the signed deal.
According to Slam Wrestling, Summers wrote in his post, “I have signed a basic legends deal with the WWE. The offer actually came in the day after I walked out of my job.” The 53-year-old did not detail the exact job he had left or elaborate further on the circumstances in the excerpts shared by outlets covering the story.
F4W Online, which also reviewed the Facebook announcement, noted that Summers attached a picture of his deal confirmation alongside his message. PW Torch similarly confirmed that Necro Butcher made the announcement on Facebook after recently quitting his job, though none of the reports specify what role he held prior to the deal.
Necro Butcher built his reputation over decades on the independent scene, becoming known for his hardcore style in promotions outside of WWE, and the signing of a Legends deal marks a notable connection to a company he never worked for during his active career. The exact terms of the agreement, including what appearances or usage rights it entails, have not been disclosed in the reporting.
