Sami Zayn is heading into WWE Crown Jewel on November 7, 2026 with a defiant message for anyone who still doubts him, declaring he is “operating at a higher level now than I ever have been” as he prepares to challenge Roman Reigns.
Speaking in a sit-down interview, Zayn addressed the pressure of self-doubt that has followed him throughout his career, but insisted that mindset will not define him heading into his biggest match against Reigns. According to F4W Online, Zayn framed the matchup as an opportunity to prove he belongs at the top of WWE, asserting that his current form is strong enough to get the win and silence skeptics once and for all.
In a separate interview with WWE’s Cathy Kelley, carried by Ringside News, Zayn went further, taking aim directly at fans who have questioned his credibility over the years. Zayn did not hold back in that conversation, delivering what Ringside News characterized as a pointed message to those who have doubted him, while also issuing a direct warning to Reigns about what to expect when the two meet at Crown Jewel.
The contrast in tone between the two interviews is notable. While Zayn’s comments to F4W Online centered on his internal mindset and personal growth as a performer, his remarks to Cathy Kelley took on a sharper, more combative edge aimed squarely at both his detractors and his upcoming opponent. Together, the two interviews paint a picture of a challenger who feels he has something to prove on wrestling’s biggest stages and is no longer willing to stay quiet about it.
Crown Jewel has historically served as one of WWE’s marquee international events, and a matchup pitting Zayn against Reigns carries significant weight given Zayn’s complicated history within Reigns’ orbit over recent years. The sources do not detail the specific stipulations of the match or confirm any title implications beyond identifying Reigns as Zayn’s opponent, but the public war of words between the two ahead of the event signals a highly charged build toward their in-ring confrontation.
As of publication, neither Reigns nor WWE has issued a public response to Zayn’s remarks. Fans will learn whether Zayn’s confidence translates into results when the two collide at Crown Jewel.
