Kevin Nash has revealed that he personally shut down a proposal to create an AI hologram of his late friend and tag team partner Scott Hall. Nash discussed the matter on the latest episode of his Kliq This podcast, according to multiple outlets including Ringside News, F4W Online, Fightful and Wrestling News.
Per Fightful, Nash’s co-host on the podcast brought up that there had been an idea for an AI hologram version of Hall to be featured at a WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. Nash confirmed that he was the deciding vote against moving forward with the concept.
Nash explained his reasoning by pointing to how Hall himself would have felt about being recreated digitally after his death. According to Wrestling News, Nash said he opposed the hologram because he knew Hall would never have allowed the same thing to be done to him.
The subject reportedly came up during a broader conversation on the podcast about Queen guitarist Brian May and the use of hologram technology to resurrect performers for entertainment purposes, according to Wrestling News.
Nash and Hall were longtime friends and tag team partners across multiple promotions, and Nash has continued to speak about their relationship on his podcast in the time since Hall’s death. On the same episode, Nash also discussed his in-ring career, naming his steel cage match against Bret Hart as his favorite, telling listeners, “My favorite was with Bret when Taker came through the bottom, which set up ours. That was some good mid ’90s wrestling right there,” according to PWMania.
