AEW Dynamite on October 7, 2026 takes place just ten days before AEW WrestleDream on October 17. Two major championship matches have been announced for the WrestleDream event, setting the stage for significant title implications heading into that pay-per-view.
Swerve Strickland & New Level vs. Hangman Page & Brodido — AEW World Trios Championship (Two-Out-Of-Three Falls Match)
The AEW World Trios Champions will put their gold on the line in a grueling two-out-of-three falls match at WrestleDream. This stipulation demands consistency and resilience from both teams across multiple fall sequences.
WAW Pick: Swerve Strickland & New Level — The champions’ experience retaining under pressure gives them the edge.
Jon Moxley vs. Mark Davis — AEW Continental Championship
Moxley will defend his Continental Championship against Mark Davis at WrestleDream after Davis pinned Gabe Kidd in a tag team match during Dynamite Grand Slam France. This singles opportunity represents Davis’s shot at championship gold.
WAW Pick: Jon Moxley — The reigning champion’s track record suggests he’ll retain his title.
