Speaking on the Six Feet Under Podcast, Dominik recalled the segment in which Lesnar confronted and attacked Rey Mysterio mid-promo before turning his attention to Dominik, who was seated at ringside at the time. According to Dominik, his father, Rey Mysterio, did not tell him beforehand that he would be involved in the attack, and he learned what was happening only as it unfolded live on television.
Dominik, who was 21 years old at the time of the segment, also said on the podcast that Lesnar legitimately beat him up during the encounter, according to Ringside News. The angle has since been remembered as an early and physically demanding moment for Dominik, who was still relatively new to WWE television at the time.
