Road Dogg is heading back into the ring for the first time in more than 11 years, according to Ringside News. The WWE Hall of Famer will team with Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal later this month as part of a celebration marking Jarrett’s 40th anniversary in professional wrestling.

Road Dogg, a former multi-time tag team champion best known for his run with the New Age Outlaws and his time in D-Generation X, has largely stepped away from active competition over the past decade to focus on behind-the-scenes roles in WWE, including producer and creative positions. His return to wrestling for this occasion marks a notable departure from that path, even if only for a single appearance.

Details on the exact date, location, and opponents for the match have not yet been specified beyond its connection to Jarrett’s anniversary celebration. Jay Lethal, a decorated veteran of Ring of Honor, TNA, and currently WWE, rounds out the trio set to share the ring for the occasion.

Further information on the full card and broadcast plans for Jarrett’s 40th anniversary event is expected to be released as the date approaches.
