Rey Mysterio has been suspended indefinitely from his role as Lucha Libre AAA General Manager in a storyline development that unfolded during the closing segment of Héroes Inmortales 2026 Week 3. The announcement came from Dorian Roldán, who interrupted the AAA Hall of Fame induction of his mother, company matriarch Marisela Peña, to deliver the bombshell accusations.
Mysterio himself had been handling induction duties for Peña when Roldán arrived to disrupt the ceremony. According to reports from Fightful and POST Wrestling, Roldán accused Mysterio of carrying on an affair with Peña, turning what was meant to be a celebratory tribute into a dramatic confrontation in front of the live audience.
Beyond the affair allegation, 411Mania reported that Roldán also accused Mysterio of abusing his power as General Manager, specifically citing interference in the Mega Championship match at Triplemanía 34. That claim ties the suspension directly to Mysterio’s on-screen authority over AAA’s championship matches and suggests the promotion is building toward further fallout from his conduct in that title bout.
The suspension leaves a leadership vacuum atop AAA’s on-screen authority structure, with Roldán positioning himself as the figure who exposed Mysterio and forced the company’s hand. Given that Peña is both the subject of the alleged affair and the newly inducted Hall of Famer whose moment was overshadowed by her son’s accusations, the storyline has immediately entangled three central figures in AAA’s authority hierarchy heading into the next chapters of Héroes Inmortales programming.
Pimpinela Escarlata Challenges Omos
The same Week 3 broadcast, which aired on FOX Latin America and on WWE and AAA’s official YouTube channels, also featured Pimpinela Escarlata issuing a match challenge to Omos, according to TPWW. A video package aired during the show in which Pimpinela discussed personal changes and ongoing issues with Omos, setting up the challenge as a separate storyline thread developing alongside the Mysterio suspension angle.
Neither the exact terms of a potential Pimpinela-Omos match nor any response from Omos has been reported. Likewise, AAA has not detailed what consequences Mysterio’s suspension will carry for his in-ring or authority status beyond the “indefinite” designation announced on-screen by Roldán.
