Swerve Strickland and New Level remain the AEW World Trios Champions after surviving a hard-fought title defense against The Demand on the September 23, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite, which aired live on TBS and HBO Max from the Fisher’s Event Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Strickland, Austin Creed and Kofi retained the titles against the challenging team of Ricochet and GOA in the show-opening match, according to reports from Fightful, ProWrestling.net and PW Torch.
With the win locked in, the champions now have their next challenge officially set for AEW All Out, where they will defend the AEW World Trios Championships against “Hangman” Adam Page teaming with Bandido and Brody King, a trio reported by multiple outlets as Brodido. Ringside News reported that The Demand nearly wrecked the plans for that showdown before Strickland and New Level pulled out the victory to keep their titles intact heading into the pay-per-view.
The same Dynamite broadcast, called by commentators Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz, also featured Will Ospreay and Speedball Bandido going up against Claudio and Kidd, along with a singles matchup pitting Jon Moxley against Desmond Xavier, according to PW Torch’s report from the go-home show ahead of AEW All Out. WrestleTix reported an attendance of 2,715 for the event, per PW Torch’s coverage.
With the trios title picture now finalized, attention shifts to AEW All Out, where Swerve Strickland and New Level will look to fend off the combined efforts of Hangman Adam Page, Bandido and Brody King to keep the AEW World Trios Championships within their stable.
