“Yeah, I’m always interested,” Maclin said, according to the interview cited by Fightful. He pointed to his wife, Deonna Purrazzo, who currently competes for AEW, as well as friendships he has built with people already in the company.
The comments come after Maclin’s departure from TNA Wrestling earlier in 2026. According to 411Mania, Maclin also discussed the circumstances surrounding his exit from TNA as part of the same interview, though specific details of that departure were not outlined in the reporting.
Purrazzo has been a prominent presence in AEW, and Maclin’s remarks mark one of his most direct public statements of interest in joining her there. No talks, offers or timeline for a potential signing have been reported, and AEW has not commented on the matter.
Maclin, a former Impact World Champion, remains without a promotional home following his TNA exit. Whether his stated interest in AEW translates into an actual signing remains to be seen.
