WWE has no plans to change the premiere date or time for WWE x AAA Worlds Collide despite AEW’s announcement that Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite will serve as a tribute show for PAC, according to multiple reports. Worlds Collide is set to premiere as scheduled on Wednesday, September 30, at 7 p.m. ET, putting it directly opposite the AEW tribute broadcast.
Worlds Collide had already been taped prior to AEW’s tribute announcement, meaning WWE would have had to actively rework its release plans to avoid the head-to-head clash. According to the reports, the promotion has chosen not to do so, keeping the crossover event on its original slot.
The scheduling decision has not gone over cleanly inside WWE, according to Ringside News. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said that not everyone within the company is on board with airing Worlds Collide against AEW’s tribute to PAC, though the specific nature or extent of that internal pushback was not detailed beyond his comments.
