Tetsuya Naito says he holds “absolutely no lingering feelings toward New Japan Pro-Wrestling,” addressing why his former promotion continues to come up in his comments as he prepares to defend the GHC Heavyweight Championship for Pro Wrestling NOAH.
It is official that on October 25, Naito will defend the GHC Heavyweight Championship against OZAWA, the winner of the 2026 N-1 Victory tournament, at NOAH’s Wrestle Odyssey II show at Ryōgoku Sumo Hall. Naito’s remarks on NJPW came at the post-N-1 Victory final press conference, according to Fightful.
Naito spent years as one of NJPW’s top stars before his move to NOAH, where he currently holds the GHC Heavyweight Championship. His upcoming title defense against OZAWA at Ryōgoku Sumo Hall will be the next marquee test of that reign.
