Persephone had advertised an open challenge heading into the pay-per-view, and Luna stepped forward as the mystery opponent, marking her first appearance for the company. Luna, 27, arrives in AEW with a background that includes stints as a two-time TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion and a run as RevPro British Women’s Champion, according to Fightful and Ringside News. Despite the high-profile introduction, Luna was unable to unseat Persephone, who retained the TBS Championship in the third match of the night, according to Fightful’s results coverage. The loss means Luna’s first AEW outing ends without gold, though her arrival adds a new name to the promotion’s women’s division.
