Chris Jericho and Nick Wayne are headed for a rematch at AEW Grand Slam France after the two came face-to-face on AEW Collision, taped September 23, 2026 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The confrontation led to Wayne proposing another match against Jericho, and it was made official on the show.

The rivalry stems from the September 16, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite, where Jericho defeated Wayne in their first meeting. According to Fightful, Jericho was upset with Wayne over the younger star’s decision to attack him after that match, and the tension carried into the September 23, 2026 confrontation on Collision, which set up the France rematch.

The September 23, 2026 three-hour AEW Dynamite and Collision show, held at the Fishers Event Center in Fishers, Indiana, also featured “Speedball” Mike Bailey officially joining the United Empire stable. Bailey was shown backstage alongside Will Ospreay and Francesco Akira for an interview with Renee Paquette, according to TPWW, confirming his alignment with the group.

The same broadcast made official a AEW World Trios Championship match pitting The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly against Swerve Strickland and The New Level, per TPWW’s show notes.

Additional details on the full Grand Slam France card, including any further matches involving Ace Austin, Queen Aminata, or Skye Blue, have not been confirmed by the supplied reporting.
