Thekla defeated Willow Nightingale at AEW All Out on September 26, 2026, in Chicago, earning a shot at Mercedes Moné’s AEW Women’s World Championship at WrestleDream, according to POST Wrestling and Wrestling Inc.
The finish came with help from the Sisters of Sin, whose interference distracted Nightingale long enough for Thekla to land two stomps and score the pin, according to Ringside News. Julia Hart and Skye Blue were also noted as making their presence felt during the match, adding further complications for Nightingale, per WrestleZone.
With the win, Thekla now moves on to challenge Moné for the AEW Women’s World Championship at WrestleDream. Moné has been unable to compete since winning the title, according to WrestleZone, making Thekla’s upcoming challenge the champion’s first defense since claiming the belt.
Elsewhere on the Tailgate Brawl portion of the All Out card, Jack Perry defeated Katsuyori Shibata after Shibata went for a choke but Perry rolled him up for the three count, according to Slam Wrestling. The outlet reported that Samoa Joe was involved in a post-match segment following the bout, though further details of that angle were not specified in the available reporting.
