Andrade El Idolo retained the AEW National Championship against PAC in the opening match of All Out: Chicago, held Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the NOW Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The victory marked El Idolo’s fifth defense of the title since capturing it, with Fightful noting he is the fourth wrestler to hold the championship.
According to Wrestling Inc, Marina Shafir was involved at ringside during the closing stretch of the match, though her interference was not enough to prevent Andrade El Idolo from picking up the win over PAC.
The National Championship bout kicked off the main card of All Out, which also featured Jon Moxley facing Will Ospreay and a ladder match involving Persephone and Thekla, according to Fightful’s results coverage of the show.
What the National Title Win Means
With the win, Andrade El Idolo continues his reign atop the National Championship lineage, extending his hold on the title through a fifth defense against a top-tier challenger in PAC. The result keeps the championship out of PAC’s hands for now, though none of the supplied reports indicate any immediate plans for a rematch or next challenger.
